Smithsonian Gardens Greenhouse Facility

Smithsonian Gardens (SG) manages and maintains the grounds of the Smithsonian Museums. They oversee living plant collections – including the 10,000-specimen world-renowned orchid collection – and supply plants for the grounds, special exhibits, and more than 500 special events yearly.

SG had long leased a greenhouse on the grounds of the Old Soldiers’ Home, but development pressures on that prime real estate forced them out.

SG hired us to build a new state-of-the-art facility at the Smithsonian Suitland Collections Center.
