Scott D. Betz, RA
5 years experience
new at architrave p.c., architects August 2019
I bring a broad set of technical skills spanning the fields of planning and architecture. I have worked in Mexico and Spain for architects such as William McDonough, Francisco Mangado, Tatiana Bilbao, and Javier Sanchez. Most recently, I managed design-build renovations of historic buildings in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati.
While most of my professional experience is in Architecture, energy modeling, and construction management, much of my academic background is in sustainable development, stormwater management, urban policy, and data science.
I previously worked in the green infrastructure planning unit of the Philadelphia Water Department where I specialized in data-driven strategic planning and community outreach. I am most proud of my outreach work helping religious and community organizations in Philadelphia identify stormwater management opportunities to help lower their stormwater fees.
My professional interests are rooted in bridging data-driven insights with tangible plans to help institutions and municipalities adapt to changing economic, social, and natural environments.
