Anacostia Community Museum

As the building is on National Park Service (NPS) property, we worked closely with the NPS on the expanded footprint, presenting both to the Commission of Fine Arts and the National Capital Planning Commission. We also met with community stakeholders, listening and responding to their concerns.

This project required an Environmental Assessment (EA).

Awarded 2002 Vision Award by the Committee of 100 on the Federal City for the “transformation from an industrial structure to an architectural tour de force symbolizing African crafts and design.”
